Can a sediment filter remove iron or sulfur?

No. Sediment filters only remove particles. They work as a pre-filter to protect systems that remove iron, sulfur, arsenic, or bacteria.

Should I install a sediment filter even if my water looks clear?

Yes. Many wells have fine sediment that isn’t visible until it builds up in equipment. A pre-filter protects your investment in other treatment systems.

Does it affect water pressure?
